Simon Whitney

Consultant

After graduating with a combined bachelor’s degree in business and information systems from UTAS, Simon gained valuable international business experience in both the UK and Asia. In 2014, Simon returned to Tasmania after spending two years working in operations management for security and safety specialist AziSafe based in Cambodia.

In the last 10 years, Simon has developed his skills and knowledge in business analysis and development, operations, project delivery and stakeholder management through roles in both public and private sector organisations. He is particularly proud of his work with the highly successful Hill Street brand during a rapid growth stage of their business, which was followed by six years supporting his brother’s electrical business as they expanded into new sustainable energy markets.

Make it Matter

Like so many of the team at The Project Lab, whilst thoroughly enjoying his travels and experiences abroad, the pull to come home to Tasmania was strong. So much so, he has come full circle and recently returned to where he grew up just south of Hobart.

A keen sportsman, Simon has played Aussie rules and basketball throughout his life. His young family takes up a lot of his energy now and he’s enjoying raising them in the community he knew as a child. A natural connector and organiser of social gatherings, he is right at home in The Project Lab family. We hope his silly competitions become a staple in the office calendar!
