Place on the team

At The Project Lab, James is passionate about helping Tasmanian organisations overcome challenges and achieve meaningful outcomes. He understands the unique pressures facing the public sector and the importance of streamlining processes, especially as new technologies like AI reshape how people work. James focuses on building strong relationships and tailoring his approach to each client’s context, drawing on a mix of methodologies to suit the work at hand. With experience across state and federal engagements, he brings a strong understanding of how Tasmanian organisations operate and the value they place on trusted local guidance.

Make it Matter

Outside of work, James enjoys exploring short hikes around Hobart, spoiling his dog, motorbiking with friends, tending to a fast-growing garden and unwinding with games at home. Family and friends are central to his life, shaped by the resilience he has seen in his own family’s health journey. Living in Kingston Beach, he appreciates the dog-friendly coastline, walking the Alum Cliffs and Boronia Beach trails and you'll likely see him celebrating the annual Olliebollen festival, Dark Mofo and taking part in the MRA Toy Run. For James, making it matter means supporting his community and helping create better outcomes for the people and places that inspire him.
